A WORD ABOUT THE BRIDGE
THE BRIDGE is a non-denominational fellowship of Christians who believe in taking God at His Word (Psalms 138:2); so, we place a high value on the teaching of His Word, Genesis to Revelation, knowing God’s Word “does not come back to Him empty” (Isaiah 55:11). Our ‘Statement of Faith’ is the Holy Bible, and we seek to align ourselves with the teaching of this Word which clearly directs us to the glory of God, the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and the life-changing work of His Holy Spirit. We believe in this wonderful triune nature of God as expressed in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Isaiah 48:16; Matthew 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Galatians 4:6).
The Bible tells us Jesus is both God & Savior (John 14:9; Titus 2:13, 2 Peter 1:1, Romans 9:5); that He literally came to the world as God-in-the-flesh (John 1:14, 18) as the exact representation of God (Hebrews 1:3); that He lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:15); that He was crucified on a cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins (Romans 3:23-25); that three days later, He rose to life from the dead (John 20:1-31; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4), offering the promise of eternal life for all who believe in Him and call on His name (Romans 10:13, John 3:16, 1 Peter 1:3-5). We practice believer’s baptism by immersion (Mt 28:19-20; Acts 2:38; Rom 6:1-11) and we share in the Lord’s Supper on a weekly basis (Lk 22:19-20; 1 Cor 11:23-26).
